About

Formed in 2011, the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition is led by community members from diverse backgrounds ranging from youth, immigrants, formerly incarcerated people, academics, undocumented immigrants, unhoused people, artists, community organizations and many more.  We organize campaigns with an innovative model centered in Los Angeles but with regional, national, and international implications.  The Coalition works to expose the structure and function of police violence and end counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency tactics into local policing.  Our vision is the abolition of policing, surveillance, spying, and infiltration.  The police and their practices violate our human rights, undermine movements for social change and impact our structural, economic, and cultural lives.

“The Stalker State” is but one story of many we hope to tell.
